CLADO — Culture, Literature, Arts & Development Organization — was founded by young people who had firsthand experience of living through the war on terror in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We saw not only the social and economic challenges it created, but also how it eroded our cultural fabric.
Arts and literature — once vibrant parts of our communities — were silenced. Creative spaces were dismantled, cultural expression was suppressed, and young people became disconnected from their heritage.

Peshawar Literary Festival The Peshawar Literary Festival (PLF) is CLADO’s flagship celebration of literature, arts, and cultural dialogue. Since its inception, PLF has become a landmark event in Pakistan’s cultural calendar, bringing together authors, poets, artists, journalists, academics, policymakers, and community members to engage in thoughtful conversation and creative expression.
